I'm a Nerd.

I'm a Nerd with a capital-N. I dig math. I'm into science fiction and computers. I play chess and video games. I get terribly shy in new social situations, though you wouldn't believe I was an introvert once you got to know me.

I like Macs, I use Debian and Arch Linux distros, and I hack in Ruby and Bash.

I am an "adult".

I've been married for over 6 years to a super swell woman (Hi Kelly!). She's a writer. We live with a cat named Joe and a roommate named Joe (no relation). We bought a house this year, which makes me a certified Grown Up™.

I like kids, but I don't have any of my own. I'd prefer to keep it that way.

I am a drummer.

I bang on a Pearl Export kit and a set of trashy cymbals I found on Craigslist for cheap. The first thing I did when I moved to my own house was get the biggest, loudest drum set I could buy. The last time I was in a band was high school.

I like music, but I wouldn't consider myself an audiophile. I also like to make a fool of myself singing karaoke.
